Dolls

I’ve never noticed before how the pain can be so beautiful or how love can be so crazy. In an imaginary world, someone is ready to go crazy with you, or to wait for you forever, or to cut his eyes so you’ll be his last image. That’s what Takeshi Kitano made me feel with this piece of art called DOLLS.
I saw the movie three times in one week. I know it sounds a little nuts, but I really loved it. It’s been a long time since a film made me feel that way. I had a full combination of emotions including anger, sadness, desperation and happiness. All of them changing from one second to another.
The more I watched it, the more I loved it. The art of that film is fantastic, is like an oil painting. And the music, is so deep and depressive. The way Takeshi Kitano told the story, is something else I really loved: a lot of images, not many words.
Three different stories, like it says in the trailer, connected by a piece of red cord. The movie has a lot of details that I discovered the second and the third time I saw it, but I won’t do harm to future spectators. I won’t tell any details here. I just wanted to say how I felt. I just want people to watch it. Is one of the best movies I’ve ever seen. I must say: thank you Takeshi Kitano for giving us DOLLS.
